For many years NLA-I was pleased to honor NLA-I members who passed away by adding their name to the NLA-I memorial plaque. The NLA-I memorial plaque containing the names of individuals who have passed away has since been put into the NLA-I archives and is housed with an NLA-I member. In 2006 NLA-I began working on a database to store information on NLA-I members who passed away. This database allows individuals to view basic information about members who have passed away and also allows individuals to submit missing information to be added to the NLA-I memorial database. During this time NLA-I also started working on a NLA-I Memorial Scrapbook. The NLA-I Memorial Scrapbook gives friends, partners, and acquaintances throughout the leather community the opportunity to share their memories and life stories. The NLA-I memorial scrapbook will be on display at each of the NLA-I AGM’s. In addition, NLA-I members will soon have the option to view the scrapbook pages online in an electronic format. NLA-I needs your assistance so they can fill-in any areas that are currently left blank. This information can include NLA-I Chapter information, a birthday, or a specific date someone passed away. You can also add any memorial/dedication (words or pictures), funny stories, achievements, or any other special memory you wish to add on behalf of anyone listed. If someone isn’t listed please let us know this too. If you are interested in helping gather information for the scrapbook, donating money to help put together scrapbook pages, or are interested in learning more about the NLA-I Memorial & Scrapbook please contact seraphina Let today be one of pride for each and every one of our leather brothers and sisters. These individuals gave their time and energy to many causes throughout the leather community and beyond. Their stories and memories will remind generations to come that they have not left us alone because their spirit lives in each of us in some way. REVIEW THE NLA-I MEMORIAL DATABASE |
